Farm Studio is part of Green Farm, a
working dairy farm situated on the edge
of the East Mendip hills Nr Shepton
Mallet, Somerset.UK.
In
this beautiful and rural setting, redundant
farm buildings have been converted to
create studios for teaching stone and
wood carving, wood engraving, bronze
casting, jewellery, modelling, mould making,
painting - oil & watercolour, drawing,
ceramics, willow & wire sculpture
and many other art forms.
"Our aim is to preserve these skills so that they may be passed on to future generations for their enjoyment and in order that our heritage is secured. This year we hope to particularly encourage youth and community groups to come and enjoy this calm and beautiful environment during a course."
Its
facilities are fully accessible to everyone.
Individual
tuition is given to small groups of
students by experienced tutors, many
of whom are practicing artists with
extensive teaching knowledge. Short
courses (1-5 day, evening and weekend)
are offered at all levels from complete
beginners to the more experienced.

SHUTE FARM STUDIO will be taking a year off in 2010. We won't be running any courses until 2011 so if there is a course you particularly wish to take then don't leave it too late to book this year.
