| Shute Farm
Studio is dedicated to the preservation and
development of practice in the traditional
arts. Our unique setting offers a place of
exceptional tranquillity where everyone is
welcome to explore and enjoy these art forms.

Farm Studio’s Aims:
We are committed to our philosophy of “Art
For Everyone” and aim to enable people
from all walks of life to discover, experience
and enjoy the arts.

Shute
Farm Studio’s Objectives:
- To create an atmosphere which encourages
and supports individual learning and creative
practice.
- To develop new opportunities and partnerships
so that we may engage with those people
who wouldn’t ordinarily experience
these artforms.
- To support beginners, improvers and
specialists alike so that they may develop
their practice and share their skills
with others.
- To create an inspirational Annual Programme
of art courses.
- To provide a venue for other organisations
who would like to use the facilities and
resources that Shute Farm Studio is able
to provide.
- To expand our activities and influence
by working in the community and establishing
a wider presence.
- To develop specialist activities which
meet the needs of target groups (Special
Support Centres and agencies, Community
Groups, Schools etc).
- To encourage the link between ‘Art
and Agriculture’ including visits
to Green Farm.
- To take part in or initiate at least
one event during each year, alternating
with Somerset Art Week, for example an
Artist in Residence, Exhibitions, Open
Study Days (by invitation).
- To seek funding and sponsorship for
the future development of Shute Farm Studio.
- To re-invest any profits into the expansion,
purchase of special tools and equipment
to accommodate all possible disabilities.
