13, year 6, students from Charlton
Mackrell School experienced
an exciting day with Tutor Kate
Semple, exploring the basic
techniques of Stone Carving
in just one day at Shute Farm
Studio. The subject ‘Life
Beneath the Waves’. |

The results of this energy
packed day were amazing and
as a reward the children sang
an African song in the Amphitheatre
of the ‘Accessible Garden’
to the Tutor and staff. |

The children raised the funds
to do this course themselves
by making cakes, candy floss,
cards and providing cream teas,
shining shoes and busking in
the school precinct. Well done
Charlton Mackrell School! |
