Michael is a
major creative force in the world
of contemporary international textiles
and has exhibited in galleries and
museums worldwide. Michael works
in two and three dimensions with
thread, wood, embroidery, charts
and maps and explores themes of
patterning, rhythms and music with
his textile constructions and reliefs.
Over the two day practical course
Michael presented examples of his
work and led a creative workshop
for participants to explore the
use of threads and other mixed media.
Michael has worked extensively within
education developing creative programmes
for both teachers and students.
