The children from a small but much needed organisation called ‘Kickin’ Space’ came on a week-long course in Stone Carving with Tutor Kate Semple in August.

This course gave these young people the chance to learn great skills that can be continued through their lives, and this year they created their own bird design in stone. Their week also included visits to Wells Cathedral and Green Farm.

Kickin' Space is based in Hartcliffe Club for Young People in Withywood, Bristol. They provide out of school activities for children and young people between the ages of 8 to 16, and these activities include play schemes and leisure activities. The aim is to support the development of young people through enhancing positive self-image, developing citizenship and encouraging partnership with youth organisations.
