Weaving Workshop with Margaret Britton |
| November
21st - 22nd 2009 |
| |
| Twelve visually impaired
students with their guides, their leader
and two guide dogs attended a weaving
course that was both stimulating and
very exciting. |
| |
| Each student produced
a canvas with a woven picture created
out of wool and other materials which
were both visually captivating and very
brightly coloured. Each student wove
for their second piece, either an article
of clothing, a hat or scarf or a cover
for a tissue box or pencil container. |
| |
| A farmhouse lunch
was provided on both days and the dogs
enjoyed a good romp around the fields
frequently. The accessible garden was
enjoyed, each tree carved with braille
name plates. The Sacred Cow presided
over all. |
