Stephen
Britten is Fran’s husband, and
is the sixth in line of the
Britten family to Farm at Downhead.

| The
Farm is predominately dairy, with
300 milking cows. Steve also grows
40 acres of seed potatoes. The
land is 850 feet above sea level,
boasting an average rainfall of
48” per annum – ideal for growing
grass! |
| The
farm has won awards for dairying
and conservation. Visits are encouraged
by school children in order that
they should understand the countryside
and the environment in which we
live. |
